LubriTec - Lubricant is held inside Lubritec reservoirs. Oil flows freely into and around the saw chain parts; it is held in the high-friction zone where the saw chain and guide bar make contact. Lubricant lowers friction during the start-up period.

Description

Specially made for ripping - making cuts parallel to the wood grain. 73RD has a special ripping application grind for making dimensional boards and planks from larger timbers. For use on chain-type sawmills. Not recommended for hand-held use.

Any saw mill worker will tell you that ripping chain is different from all other saw chains. You need a special kind of chain for ripping cuts, the kind that transforms raw timber into the boards and planks used in homes and businesses. Oregon's RipCut is designed specifically for chain-type sawmills, producing smooth cuts with supreme efficiency. RipCut's precise ripping cuts give you a smooth surface every time you cut parallel to the wood grain. RipCut isn't recommended for hand-held use, but that suits experienced millwrights just fine.

Note: This saw chain is considered one of our "Custom Loops," meaning that it is spun up from our available 50FT/100FT bulk saw chain reels. If we show no stock of this saw chain, please check for stock of the 73RD100U 100FT Bulk Reel. If stock is showing for the bulk reel, we will be able to spin up your custom loop once an order is received. Please allow an extra 2-4 days of handling time as our warehouse workers spin up your ordered custom loop.
