I have cut firewood for at least 45 years. It seems to me the Oregon bars and chains wear out sooner all the time. The groove in the bar wears and the chain cuts crooked. The chains stretch out past being able to adjust so the chain is no good yet the cutting teeth have a lot of use left. I had a shop remove links and shorten them to use. I had 4 shortened and all 4 broke in use. Never try that again.
